Description:
Based on patients re-registering with NHS doctors in other parts of the United Kingdom. Subject to relatively large sampling errors where estimates are based on small numbers of contacts. Figures for all years exclude migration to and from the Irish Republic. Data for the South East prior to 1988 include migration via the UK mainland between the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man and the rest of the world. Adjustment of the figures shown are required for 'visitor switchers' and migration to and from the Irish Republic.
