This long running annual survey provides information on fertiliser use on the major crops and grass grown in mainland Britain.
The main purpose is to estimate average application rates of nitrogen, phosphate and potash used for agricultural crops and grassland. Information is also collected on applications of sulphur fertiliser products, organic manure and lime.
The survey is organised and jointly funded by the Fertiliser Manufacturers' Association (FMA), the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA) and the Scottish Executive Rural Affairs.
