Regional Selective Assistance Grants to Industry - Scotland
The Scottish Office Industry Department compiles data on regional selective assistance (RSA) grants to industry.
Data are available on the number and amount of offers of grant accepted, the amount of grant paid out, associated jobs created or safeguarded, and associated total project costs by type of industry, location and whether the firm is UK or foreign owned.
Data cover Scotland and are available at travel-to-work area and local authority district level.
The series commenced in 1972, but various changes since then in the schemes available, the rules under which they operate, and the definition of the assisted areas mean that direct comparisons between years are not always possible.
Data are published annually, six months after the end of the financial year.
