The Department of Trade and Industry compiles data on the extraction of mineral oil and natural gas. The survey covers all active operators on the UK Continental Shelf (UKCS).

Data are available on UKCS economic activity by sales of oil, NGLs and gas, operating expenditure, capital investment and exploration expenditure.

Summary results are published on DTI's oil and gas website.
