Weekly deaths registered in England and Wales - provisional figures
The latest national statistics on estimated weekly death registrations in England and Wales produced by the Office for National Statistics were released on 18 November 2008 according to arrangements approved by the UK Statistics Authority.
Weekly death figures provide a rapid estimate of the number of deaths registered in the previous week in England and Wales.
