International Comparisons of Productivity
Product
ONS international comparisons of productivity (ICP) based on output per worker and output per hour worked are productivity level comparisons of the UK with Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the US and the G7 averages. The index is calculated with UK=100 for each year.
ICP are annual data published twice a year usually in September and February to dovetail the publication cycles of the primary data sources from the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD).
When using these statistics it should be noted that they are based on OECD source data taken from OECD Main Economic Indicators, the OECD Purchasing Power Parities Data (PPP) website, OECD Labour Force Statistics and OECD Employment Outlook.
These National Statistics are produced to high professional standards and released according to the arrangements approved by the UK Statistics Authority.
