Labour Productivity Measures from the Annual Business Inquiry
Product
Labour productivity measures the amount of output produced by each unit of labour input. Measures of approximate Gross Value Added and average employment jobs are available from the Annual Business Inquiry (ABI). These measures have a high degree of consistency because the data on which they are based come from the same enterprises and are processed using similar methodology. This means that the ratio of these two ABI measures can be used to compile consistent labour productivity measures. Current price ABI productivity data down to 4 digit level of SIC(92) are available that cover about two thirds of the economy. A link to the latest data is given and more detail about the methodology can be found in the article link.
