Population and Migration

The Social Survey Division (SSD) of the ONS carries out a number of surveys which provide information related to the population theme. Most of the surveys we carry out collect information on household size and composition. One survey of particular relevance to the population theme, since it is associated with the Census is:

Surveys listed under other themes may also be relevant to this theme, in particular the General Household Survey (Compendia and Reference) collects information on marriages and births.
