Opportunities for Social Survey Interviewers (face to face)
Do you have the ability to communicate with a wide range of people?
Are you self-motivated and well organised?
Are you available to work mainly afternoons through to evenings?
Can you use a computer?
Do you have your own car?
Do you have a landline telephone?
If you have answered "Yes" to the above questions you may be interested in applying to join our team of Social Survey interviewers.
As one of our interviewers, you’ll meet a wide range of people every day. You’ll visit people in their homes, asking survey questions, and record the answers on a laptop.
When all the survey results are in, we analyse the information and produce reports that help shape government policy. It’s important work, because the decisions based on our information are ones that affect us all.
It’s fascinating and you’ll gain an amazing insight into other people’s lives.
You’ll also have considerable freedom. You have to be flexible and be able to work mainly afternoons and evenings, Monday to Saturday. You will complete a set number of interviews, but it’s up to you to organise yourself, make the appointments and encourage people to take part. You just need a landline phone, a full UK driving licence (or equivalent) and a car for getting about to interviews.
We’ll provide you with full training but you have to be someone that people are happy to talk to for which a mature attitude and experience of life certainly helps. Other benefits to look forward to are paid travelling time, paid holiday entitlement, mobile phone, mileage and meal allowances and an annual pay increment; plus a choice of final salary or stakeholder pension schemes.
So spread your wings.
