The 2001 Census National Report for England and Wales, contains the Standard Tables, and is available in two parts. The printed parts contain the tables with figures for England and Wales as a whole, and are also available in pdf form from the National Statistics website. These, with the results for England, and Wales, and all Government Office Regions, counties, Unitary Authorities and local authorities in England and Wales, are available in electronic form on a single CD.
Part one of the printed report contains these tables, which for completeness includes in addition to the Standard and Theme tables, fifteen simple tables (known as 'univariate' tables) from the Census Area Statistics.
Part two of the printed report contains these tables, mainly additional tables covering migration and workplaces, some tables correcting those in part one, and some additional tables not included in the Standard Tables set.
The CDs contain the full set of tables contained in both printed reports.
The Standard Tables
The Standard Tables are a set of detailed cross-tabulations providing the base of pre-planned output for England and Wales. The tables are available from national to ward level. The Theme Table subset provides information for a particular population such as dependent children or pensioner households.
