An error has been corrected in Health Statistics Quarterly 26 and 27, table 2.1 and Population Trends 120 and 121, table 2.1.
2004 figures giving the provisional annual numbers for Infant Mortality (deaths under 1 year) for the UK and those for England and Wales were incorrect. The correct UK figure in thousands is 3.66 (not 2.86) and for England and Wales 3.27 (not 2.47). The Infant Mortality rates themselves are correct. The corrected data can be downloaded below.
