Neighbourhood Statistics
Neighbourhood Statistics (NeSS) websites were developed to provide statistics for small geographic areas to inform policy and decision making.
There are three websites: one for England and Wales, one for Scotland and one for Northern Ireland
The English and Welsh site allows data to be obtained on user defined geographic areas using Output Areas and Super Output Areas as building blocks. The Northern Ireland Neighbourhood Information Service provides data from Census Output Area to Health Board Level, including dedicated sections to support the Investing for Health and Neighbourhood Renewal Strategies. The Scottish site publishes data at data zone and intermediate zones geographical levels from data zone to local auhority and allows data access from a range of users through its quick profile, standard reporter and advanced reporter functions.
