National Statistics Methodology Advisory Committee
The National Statistics Methodology Advisory Committee has been in existence since 31 October 2001. It has two main aims: to provide a forum to allow government statisticians to obtain advice on methodological issues from a group of interested and experienced professional statisticians from outside government; and to provide an opportunity to build and strengthen links between the Government Statistical Service (GSS) and the rest of the statistical profession.
The committee meets twice yearly to discuss statistical methodological issues relevant to the production and presentation of National Statistics.
