An ONS co-ordination team has been set up to:

  • organise the project as a whole, initiate its different phases, accomplish all necessary administrative tasks, and keep contact with and report to the Community and the partners
  • supervise the technical progress of the project, and
  • establish a clear communication structure among the partners, allowing for the efficient exchange of information and expertise

Work Packages

The work of the project is divided between 13 work packages, covering the 4 research areas and their co-ordination, together with assessment and dissemination. Each has a manager to ensure it is progressing appropriately against targets, costs and other criteria. Project Meetings

To take management decisions, a Project Board has been established consisting of three of the partners (ONS, INSEE and CBS). The Project Board will meet periodically, with additional meetings of all participants being held throughout the project to maintain communication and management of the project. Meetings are scheduled as follows:

There will also be workshops as required to focus on issues specific to each of the three main themes covered by the project and they will be attended by participants in the Work packages dealing with that particular theme and by the project co-ordination staff.

Reports

Reports on financial and technical progress are submitted to the European Commission after 6, 18 and 24 months of the project.
