In line with National Statistics guidelines and to maintain a harmonised approach to data collection and outputs, in particular with respect to the census, the GHS, along with other major Government surveys, introduced the new socio-economic and ethnic classification questions and their associated outputs for the 2001 survey. This has had major implications for the analysis and presentation of these data.
