| Title of paper | Analysis of the Economic Dimension of the New Economy in the Basque Country |
| Abstract | This work is aimed at introducing the main characteristics of an analysis on the New Economy carried out in the Basque Country. Amongst the aspects analysed in this study, from a productive point of view, the degree of development of Information and Communications Technology related industry and the development of knowledge based activities are included. At the same time, this paper will describe the degree of economic articulation of those sectors which play a leading role in the New Economy and its dragging power towards other economic sectors. Finally, this paper will be completed with a simulation on the repercussion throughout prices and production costs of Basque Country as a consequence of the major utilisation of new technologies; this simulation will be done by an input-output analysis. |
