Summary: Following advice from the UKSA and a user consultation (https://www.dasa.mod.uk/modintranet/SARConsultation.pdf) with regard Military Search and Rescue Statistics, DASA are combining the Official and National Statistics into one report. The aim for this one report to receive approval from UKSA to be designated as a National Statistic. Therefore the Search and Rescue Official Statistic and Pocket Brief will be discontinued.

Summary: This report provides statistical information on Armed Forces personnel returned to the UK from Iraq and Afghanistan as a result of an injury or illness that have been treated at the Royal Centre for Defence Medicine (RCDM) and the Defence Medical Rehabilitation Centre (DMRC) Headley Court.

Summary: The fortnightly fatality and casualty statistics provides the number of UK Military and UK Civilians on Operations in Afghanistan who are; Very seriously injured (VSI), Seriously Injured (SI), admitted to a field hospital under the categories of Wounded in Action (WIA), Diseases or Non Battle injuries (DNBI) and Aeromedically evacuated from theatre due to injury or illness. The fatalities figures presents UK Military and UK Civilians who are Killed in Action (KIA), Died of Wounds (DOW) and those who died of 'Other' causes.

Summary: This quarterly report provides statistical information on the number of Armed Forces personnel who as a result of an injury sustained whilst deployed on Operations in Iraq or Afghanistan have suffered a traumatic or surgical amputation. This ranges from the loss of part of a finger or toe up to the loss of an entire limb(s). In addition, the numbers of significant multiple amputations have been provided on an annual basis.

Summary: This report provides a picture of survey activity across the Government Statistical Service (GSS) and how this has changed over the past financial year.
