Summary: The indicator is defined as the number of people employed by the private sector, as a proportion of the population aged 16-64 and those over 64 in the labour market. It provides an indication of whether private sector employment is growing to compensate for any decline in public sector employment across English regions. This measure helps to identify whether the economy rebalancing between regions.

Summary: Provisional monthly data on diagnostic imaging tests on NHS patients in England. Includes estimates of GP usage of direct access to chest imaging, non-obstetric ultrasound and MRI brain scans which are key diagnostic test for cancer.

Summary: Shows the monthly movements in gross value added for the service industries, which overall account for around 75 per cent of UK Gross Domestic Product (GDP).

Summary: Presents the most recent crime statistics from the Crime Survey for England and Wales and police recorded crime. As announced by the Home Secretary in July 2011 the compilation and publication of the crime statistics for England and Wales transfered from the Home Office to the Office for National Statistics in April 2012.
