Summary: Statistics on the levels and trends in detections and detection rates in England and Wales

Summary: Statistics on police strength for the 43 police forces of England and Wales and for the British Transport Police. From July 2013, 'Police Service Strength, England and Wales' has been re-titled 'Police Workforce, England and Wales' in order to reflect more fairly the content of the release, and to coincide with its re-formatting to web based pages.

Summary: Presents the most recent crime statistics from the Crime Survey for England and Wales and police recorded crime. As announced by the Home Secretary in July 2011 the compilation and publication of the crime statistics for England and Wales transferred from the Home Office to the Office for National Statistics in April 2012. Summary: 2011 Census statistics provide a rich source of information about the number, distribution and characteristics of the population in England and Wales. 2011 Census Analysis products present specific analyses on a variety of topics, including ethnicity, families, health, labour market, language, migration, and national identity, and religion. In particular, many of the analyses focus on geographical variations, changes over time, and how the census differs to other data sources.

Summary: Weekly death figures provide provisional counts of the number of deaths registered in England and Wales in the latest eight weeks for which data are available.

Summary: 2011 Census statistics provide a rich source of information about the number, distribution and characteristics of the population in England and Wales as at census day (27 March 2011). This release provides detailed cross tabulations of two or more topics from the census that focus mainly on nationality and country of birth at region level. The release also includes further analysis of the characteristics of the non-UK born population and non-UK passport holders.

Summary: 2011 Census statistics provide a rich source of information about the number, distribution and characteristics of the population in England and Wales as at census day (27 March 2011). This release provides Detailed Characteristics tables on the topics of Ethnicity, Language, Religion, Migration and Health. These detailed cross tabulations were first published in May 2013 for local authorities. This release provides the same tables for 2011 Census merged wards and Middle Layer Super Output Areas.

Summary: The tables contain data for numbers of live births, fertility rates, percentage of births outside marriage, sex ratio, mean age of mother, area of usual residence of mother and country of birth of mother and father. These tables are laid before Parliament before publication. Consequently, figures will not be released until 11.00 am.
