Summary: This product is part of the set of Small Area Population Estimates (SAPE). It includes estimates of the usually resident population as at 30 June of the reference year for Lower Layer and Middle Layer Super Output Areas (SOAs) in England and Wales by age and sex. These estimates are consistent with the Census based local authority, regional and national population estimates. Estimates reflect the new SOA boundaries introduced for the publication of 2011 Census results.
