Summary: Region and Country Profiles provides a source of essential statistics for the regions of England and the constituent countries of the UK (Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland). This release consists of the Key Statistics tables which provide the most useful demographic, social and economic statistics to compare the countries and regions.

Summary: The House Price Index (HPI) is a monthly output based on mortgage completions data from the Regulated Mortgage Survey (RMS). This release contains data on mix-adjusted average house prices and price indices, along with annual rates of change by region, type of buyer and whether a dwelling is new or pre-owned. A seasonally adjusted mix-adjusted house price index and monthly house price change are also included.

Summary: Presents quarterly price and cost indices are a basic tool of the trade to anyone involved in estimating, cost checking and fee negotiation on public sector construction works including roads. NOTE: This release was published around 40 minutes after 9.30am, in breach of the Code of Practice for Official Statistics. We are currently investigating why this happened, and a report will be published on the UK Statistics Authority's website in due course.

Summary: A report on the Expenditure and Food Survey.

Summary: Presents monthly results on the number of overseas visitors to the UK, UK residents visits abroad, earnings from overseas visits, expenditure of UK residents going abroad.

Summary: Provides information on selected building materials and contains monthly data on price indices, bricks, cement and concrete blocks; and quarterly data on sand and gravel, slate, concrete roofing tiles and ready-mixed concrete.

Summary: This report details various aspects of the supply side of tourism. It includes a national level analysis of Gross Value Added (GVA), turnover and employment in the defined set of tourism industries. It also includes an estimate of employment in tourism industries for the regions and nations of the UK. The set of tourism industries used is based on international recommendations.
