Release Calendar

Summary: Estimates of the usually resident population as at 30 June of the reference year, revised in line with the 2011 Census. The release will include a report on changes made to the population estimates to take account of the Census results and how these changes have been allocated over the decade. Estimates reflect the administrative boundaries in place on 30 June 2011.

Summary: Weekly death figures provide provisional counts of the number of deaths registered in England and Wales in the latest eight weeks for which data are available.

Summary: 2011 Census statistics provide a rich source of information about the number, distribution and characteristics of the population in England and Wales. 2011 Census Analysis products present specific analyses on a variety of topics, including ethnicity, families, health, labour market, language, migration, and national identity, and religion. In particular, many of the analyses focus on geographical variations, changes over time, and how the census differs to other data sources.

Summary: This release comprises a further three Quick Statistics tables for a range of different geographical breakdowns of Northern Ireland including Local Government Districts (LGDs), Health and Social Care Trusts (HSCTs), Education and Library Boards (ELBs), NUTS level III (European Union Nomenclature of Units for Territorial Statistics), Assembly Areas (AAs), Electoral Wards, Super Output Areas (SOAs) and Small Areas (SAs).

It includes estimates of the usually resident population as at 30 June of the reference year for Lower Layer and Middle Layer Super Output Areas (SOAs) in England and Wales by age and sex. These estimates are consistent with the Census based local authority, regional and national population estimates. Estimates reflect the new SOA boundaries introduced for the publication of 2011 Census results.
