Summary: High-level NHS Hospital and Community Health Service (HCHS) Workforce information on a monthly basis for Hospital Doctors and Non Medical Staff. Quarterly supplemental information providing redundancy figures and further granularity across staff groups and work areas including pre-announced specific topic areas or service priority areas is available in the January, April, July and October publications.

Summary: Achievement information is based on practice level achievement againsts primary care indicators. Prevalence figures are based on numbers of patients on GP clinical registers for specific conditions. Exceptions data presents information on numbers of patients with specific clinical conditions who are not included in QOF indicator data used to measure achievement. There are a number of criteria to determine exception reported patients. All data are presented at GP practice, PCT, SHA and England

Summary: The Quality & Outcomes Framework (QOF) is a major part of the new General Medical Services (GMS) contract, introduced in April 2004. The QOF measures GP practice achievements against a range of evidence-based indicators, with points and payments awarded to practices according to their level of achievement.
