Geographic breakdown: Local Authority and County | Designation: National Statistics
Summary: Estimates of healthy life expectancy (HLE) at birth and age 65 for males and females, by the Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) in England for the period 2010-2012, based upon data from the 2011 Census. Healthy Life Expectancy (HLE) is based on subjective self-assessed health and adds value to life expectancy by estimating average lifetime spent in a favourable state of health. These measures are being used more in health and social care resource planning and policy.
