Summary: Statistics on live and still births occurring annually in England and Wales. Statistics for births in previous years are included to show trends in fertility. It also covers birth counts and birth rates tabulated by, among other attributes, parents' age, occurrence within or outside marriage, multiple births, mother's area of residence and country of birth, place of confinement, and father's social class (defined by occupation).
