Summary: This note and the associated tables have been produced on the request of Regional Development Agencies (RDAs) for use by interested parties to assist in analysing and understanding foreign ownership of businesses in the UK and sub-nationally. The estimated resident population of an area includes all people who usually live there, whatever their nationality. Students are taken to be resident at their term time address.
