Cars, the largest component of transport capital consumption, accounted for 38 per cent of the total. Housing capital consumption is made up mainly of dwellings, just under two thirds of the housing total, and furniture and carpets, a little over one third. In comparison, doing the laundry and preparing meals require only small investments in capital.
