One course meals make up 64 per cent of the meals eaten by adults and children. Children’s meals (eaten by under 10s) account for 11 per cent of total meals, and the profile of 1 course meals is broadly similar for adults and children. Both adults and children are most likely to eat an ‘other dish’ with soup, but a meal (i.e. main ingredient plus meat and/or rice and/or pasta and/or vegetables) with a dessert. Three course meals make up 1 per cent of total meals and are most likely to include an ‘other dish’. |
