NUTS: Northern Ireland: Map and Directory

The Nomenclature of Units for Territorial Statistics (NUTS) is a hierarchical classification of administrative areas, used across the European Union for statistical purposes.

Northern Ireland is one of 12 NUTS 1 areas in the UK. The directory below and the map opposite display its breakdown into NUTS 2, 3 and LAU 1 areas.

As well as being a NUTS 1 area, Northern Ireland also has the status of a NUTS 2 area. Thereafter, it is divided into the following NUTS 3 areas:
