Association for Geographic Information (AGI)
A non-commercial organisation representing users and vendors of Geographic Information (GI) and Geographic Information Systems (GIS). As well as promoting GI/GIS use in a diversity of fields, it lobbies on issues such as data availability, data protection and freedom of information.

GIgateway
A free web service aimed at increasing awareness of and access to geospatial information in the United Kingdom. It is also administered by the AGI.

Intra-Governmental Group on Geographic Information (IGGI)
A cross-government group which aims to promote the effective use of government geographic information.

Neighbourhood Statistics Service
The output of the ONS-led Neighbourhood Statistics initiative, which has the purpose of providing publicly available small area socio-economic statistics in order to support the National Strategy for Neighbourhood Renewal. The site contains statistics for a range of geographies right down to Census Output Area level.

The Power of Geography
A new website which explains and demonstrates the value of the effective use of geographic referencing and GIS. It provides a number of real-life case studies from different public sector organisations, and is part of a joint AGI / IGGI / Ordnance Survey initiative.
