Address geography: ONS's Address Requirements

The report below was commissioned by ONS to give an up-to-date assessment of the issues surrounding addresses in the UK. It has been produced by Hugh Neffendorf of Katalysis.

The report is designed to give a clear picture of:

  • ONS needs for addresses and improvements in address information
  • wider government and outside needs for improved addressing
  • the state of development of national addressing products and initiatives,
    and their suitability to meet the needs
  • options for ONS to pursue
  • recommendations for action by ONS
