Each overview in the Focus on series combines data from various sources to illustrate its topic, and provide links to further information.This online overview is accompanied by a full report, which contains more comprehensive analysis.

Focus on London 2007 provides a statistical portrait of some of the key matters affecting London. This edition of Focus on London has been jointly produced by the Greater London Authority (GLA) and the Office for National Statistics (ONS) and brings together a wide range of demographic, social and economic datasets to provide a broad picture of London. It is aimed at both general and specialist readers, providing information that is detailed but not exhaustive.

The publication comprises an overview and 12 chapters. Five chapters focus in depth on different aspects of London with commentary and figures: population and migration, education and training, labour market, child poverty and environment. Summaries of the overview and these five topics can be viewed below. Tables are provided on seven additional topics: economy and industry, transport, housing, crime and justice, health and care, income and lifestyles and London government.
