Information about the publication
Focus on Gender provides an insight into the differences between the sexes in contemporary UK society. It includes information on their characteristics, experiences and lifestyles, placing particular emphasis on the differences between males and females.
In many ways the lives of men and women have become more similar with more women being active in the labour market and continuing on to further education. However, there are still some notable differences in the key areas of health, educational achievement and the labour market.
