Cardiff is a lively and cosmopolitan city with a population of over 300,000.
As the Capital of Wales, the city takes huge pride in promoting all things Welsh. Cardiff is home to such national gems as the National Museum of Wales; the Museum of Welsh Life, and the newly built Wales Millennium Centre. The city also boasts a centre of stunning and varied architecture, surrounded by acres of parkland, while the magnificent Millennium Stadium brings major sporting events, concerts and conventions right to the heart of the city. Cardiff is a famously friendly city with something for everyone.

City Hall - Conference venue
The domed roof of City Hall is one of the landmarks of Cardiff city centre and forms the focal point of the civic centre buildings. Built in the English Renaissance style, City Hall was opened in 1906, a year after Cardiff was granted its city status.

Getting to Cardiff has never been quicker or easier. Journey times from many UK and European cities are in the region of one to two and a half hours.
By road
Cardiff is conveniently situated on the M4, providing a direct route to and from London and Heathrow Airport. The M50 and M5 link with the M4 providing access to the North of England, the Midlands and the South West of England.
To the west of Cardiff the A48 and M4 provide a fast route for travellers using the ferry services from Ireland.
Car parking is available throughout the city.
By rail
High-speed trains link most of the main cities with Cardiff. The service between London and Cardiff operates every half an hour.
Cardiff Central train station is located in the city centre, a short walk from the conference venue and central hotels.
By air
Cardiff International Airport has scheduled services from many cities within the UK and Europe. There are frequent bus and train services from the airport to Cardiff Central station.
