The final specifications for the 2001 Census standard area statistics were agreed in July 2002. The table layouts for Standard Tables, Census Area Statistics and Key Statistics for England and Wales are available using the links in the navigation menu to the right.

These include tables which are available throughout the UK, and further tables available for England and Wales only, or for Wales only. Some layouts were amended following initial publication in September 2002 to meet further concerns over data quality or disclosiveness. Corresponding table layouts are available for Scotland from GROS, and for Northern Ireland from NISRA.

Similar table layouts for the Origin-Destination matrices for residents of England and Wales are also available through the navigation menu to the right.

Note:
A number of small changes were made during release to a small number of tables in response to issues arose during production and to remove inconsistencies between tables. Amendments to the outlines are currently being made, and these final amended versions will be made available on the website shortly.

Outlines of the tables are provided in portable document format (pdf) and can be viewed, printed or downloaded.
