The design, development and supply of statistical products from the 2001 Census was the responsibility of the Output Policy project. Customer consultation was integral to this project, with product design based on census user and statutory requirements. The project specified the statistical content and format of products, and agreed data definitions, classifications and derived variables. Output Policy also promoted and supplied material from the 2001 Census through Census Customer Services, which continues to provide support and assistance to users of census information.
