The Key Statistics for settlements in England and Wales contains data for England and Wales, England, Wales, and settlements in England and Wales.

The results for these 2,130 settlements with populations of fewer than 1,500 people are available on CD, and supplement the Key Statistics for urban areas in England and Wales. The figures were produced by the same process as those for urban areas, that is by the aggregation of the Output Areas best fitting areas of urban land of at least 20 hectares. Further background information about the definition of urban areas and settlements is included on the CD.

The Key Statistics tables
The Key Statistics dataset consists of a series of 33 tables which provide a summary of the complete results of the Census. They are designed to enable easy comparison between areas across the full range of Census variables.
