A series of roadshow meetings were held in Autumn 2001 throughout England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.
The meetings introduced the documentation covering the revised proposals for the 2001 Census Standard Area Statistics, and explained the decision process behind the latest versions of the tables.
The meetings also included an update on how the 2001 Census was progressing, plans for consultation on topic reports, commissioned tables, and the Census Access project (and its relationship with Neighbourhood Statistics).
The events were well attended, and a report on issues raised and the actions taken by the Census Offices appeared in 'Census News 47' (250kb PDF file).
