All recipients of Census data are required to comply with the standard conditions of supply.

These are available, on request, from Census Customer Services.

If you intend to re-use or publish Census data a licence is required. Any end-user licence issued under a click-use licence or a distribution licence must contain the terms in the standard conditions of supply.

Under HMSO's online licensing scheme, information which has been produced for Government purposes is available for re-use and publication through free 'core click-use' licences available from HMSO's Web site.

The following 1991 Census products are classified as 'core' products. This means that they are available for re-use and publication through free 'click-use' licences:

• Urban Area Statistics;
• Topic/Published Reports;
• Glossary.

Other products are treated as value added and further enquiries should be referred to Census Customer Services.
