The Report to Parliamentary Constituencies with summary Profiles of 2001 Census results for Westminster Parliamentary Constituencies throughout the UK was released on 25 September 2003. It has a supplementary CD containing the Profiles and more detailed Key Statistics. The CD includes software for viewing and downloading the results, and for deriving user defined versions, on the lines of the CDs issued with previous Key Statistics reports. The results are also available online through Neighbourhood Statistics.
The information in the report provides valuable input to the Parliamentary process, and is designed for ready comparison between constituencies or with Census results for other types of areas such as wards, local authorities or health areas. It is the first report combining the pictures provided by the three Censuses held in the UK in 2001.
The content of the Profiles is the same throughout the UK. The Key Statistics have a common core in all parts of the UK, but some variation reflects the differing needs of the devolved administrations. A list of differences between the Key Statistics for the different parts of the UK is HERE.
A brief account of the findings for constituencies has been issued as a press release HERE.
