National report for England and Wales part 2 - free on CD
The plans for the second part of the National Report, together with all remaining output, are under review (more information...), and it is likely that the content described in this note will be released in stages. Revised plans will be published in Census news as soon as possible.
The first part of the National Report was released on 7 May 2003, and the CD version which contained the equivalent of the entire set of 1991 Census County Reports was distributed widely without charge (more details...). It was announced at the time that a number of tables, mainly covering migration and workplace populations could not be prepared in time for inclusion, and would be issued in a second part along with other supplementary tables.
The second part of the 2001 Census National Report for England and Wales will be released in October, and the release date will be confirmed shortly in Census News. The figures for England and Wales as a whole will be in the printed report, but others will be on a CD which, as with the first part of the National Report, will be distributed to all local authorities without charge, and will be available to all other users on the same basis. More details of these arrangements will be announced in Census News nearer to the release date.
Content of part II
The report will include the Key Statistics tables on migration, and additional results about the armed forces and about same sex couples, as well as the tables not included in the first part of the Report. A list of the tables to be included in part II of the Report is HERE, and outlines of the tables may be viewed HERE.
