Key Statistics for local authorities in England and Wales
The 2001 Census report 'Key Statistics for Local Authorities in England and Wales' was released on 13 February together with a bilingual report for Wales. This is the first opportunity to see a summary of the complete results of the Census, set out to enable comparison between Districts, Unitary Authorities, Counties, National Parks, Greater London and Metropolitan areas, and with England and Wales or the UK as a whole.
The report is available on National Statistics Online and versions are also available from Census Customer Services. A printed version laid before Parliament is available from the Stationery Office.

Key Statistics for wards
A second part of the report, to be issued later, will provide Key Statistics for wards as legally existing on 31 December 2002, and for wards as at Census Day 2001 which have been superceded.
