The Census website was redesigned at the end of last year to improve online access to the vast amount of data and information from the 2001 Census and previous Censuses. Many more enquiries can now be answered by reference to the website, but a small team has been retained to provide expert support to customers. Census Customer Services continue to provide fast and accurate responses to wide ranging queries, including guidance in using the NS web services. Customers can specify new tables, if existing ones do not meet their requirements, and these are produced as commissioned tables. Specialists seeking access to microdata are assisted by the SARs and CAMs service. The copyright and licencing arrangements, for distribution to third parties, continue as before.
