Census Area Statistics for wards and Output Areas in England and Wales
DVD
Part one - released August/September 2003
The first and larger part is available in SuperTABLE and CSV formats on DVD. The CAS tables are supplied on a separate DVD for each Government Office Region. Each SuperTABLE DVD contains the tables for Output Areas within the specific region, and for wards and higher areas throughout England and Wales. Each DVD in CSV format contains the tables for Output Areas within the specific region and is accompanied, if required, by a second DVD with the tables for wards and higher areas throughout England and Wales.
Part two - released May 2004
The second part contains CAS tables not included in the original 'Part one' release. These include five of seven planned CAS tables on workplace, all of which are univariate, at Output Area and higher levels. These are tables UV37 (method of travel (daytime population)), UV75 (age), UV76 (NS-SEC), UV78 (approximate social grade), and UV80 (distance travelled to work). Planned tables UV77 (industry) and UV79 (occupation) were not released at any geographical level and are therefore not included, although information on industry and occupation at local authority level and on occupation at ward level, is available through the Standard Tables.
All planned CAS tables on migration are included for Output Areas and wards. These are tables CAS008 (resident type and age by migration), CAS009 (dependent children by migration of household), CAS010 (household composition by migration of household), UV23 (migration (people)) and UV52 (migration (households)). Equivalent results on migration at local authority level and above are available through Standard Tables.
Two further planned CAS tables on residents, CAS120 (distance to work by method of travel) and CAS121 (NS-SEC by method of travel), and five further CAS univariate tables on residents, UV02 (population density), UV29 (economic activity of full-time students), UV35 (distance to work), UV39 (method of travel) and UV55 (dwellings), are also included.
Part two is available on a single DVD with results in either SuperTABLE or CSV format, each containing the tables listed for all Output Areas and higher areas throughout the whole of England and Wales.
