Main reason for non-participation in an active sport, England 2005/06
• In 2005/06, 31 per cent of adults in England had not participated in sport in the previous 12 months. Nearly half stated their health not being good enough as the main reason. (Figure 13.13)
• In the UK, 81 per cent of homes had a digital television service at the end of the first quarter in 2007, a rise of 65 percentage points since 2000. (Figure 13.2)
• Excluding the National Lottery draw, around 23 million people in Great Britain participated in gambling in the 12 months prior to interview in 2006 and 2007, around 1 million more than in 1999. (Page 183)
