Average earnings including bonuses rose by 0.1 percentage points to 0.7 per cent in the year to November 2009, up from the October rate of 0.6 per cent. Growth in average earnings excluding bonuses (regular pay) declined by 0.1 percentage points in the year to November 2009, from 1.2 per cent to 1.1 per cent.
In the year to November pay growth (including bonuses) in the private sector stood at -0.1 per cent compared with 3.8 per cent for the public sector. Excluding bonus payments, growth in the private sector stood at 0.2 per cent compared with 3.8 per cent for the public sector.
