On 14 May 2008 ONS published national and regional Labour Force Survey (LFS) aggregate estimates that are consistent with reweighted LFS microdata. This article fully explains the revisions to the LFS aggregate estimates for 1992 to 2007 arising from reweighting and the annual seasonal adjustment review. The tables and charts in this article compare the differences between the LFS aggregates and LFS microdata followed by a summary of how reweighting and seasonal adjustment recommendations impacted on the headline labour market indicators. Analysis is also provided of the revisions to the population estimates and headline indicators by Government Office Region.
