Seasonal adjustment review of vacancy survey data
Explains revisions to the seasonally adjusted vacancy count arising from this year's seasonal adjustment review.
ONS has carried out the annual updating of data used to produce the Vacancy Survey series and made subsequent revisions. Non-seasonally adjusted figures have been revised back to January 2005.
The seasonal adjustment has been reviewed and revised. Multiplicative decompositions are now applied using X12 ARIMA for all seasonally adjusted series. The new adjustments have been applied to the whole period back to 2001.
