This article explains the decision of the Office for National Statistics to classify QinetiQ Group Plc as a private non-financial corporation for the purposes of the National Accounts. The classification decision follows on from the implementation of QinetiQ's Initial Public Offering on 10 February 2006. Prior to this date QinetiQ Limited was classified as a public non-financial corporation.
