Experimental monthly index of services – An update
This article sets out the progress made in the development of the Index of Services since June 2002.
This article sets out the progress made in the development of the Index of Services (IoS) since the last update in June 2002.
It explains how the timeliness of the IoS has been improved, gives summaries of the changes that have been made to the four of the industries that have been reviewed as part of the IoS development programme, as well as explaining some of the developments that have been made with the source data.
The article then sets out the future plans for the project including the schedule for the continuing programme of reviews, the plans to introduce more monthly data and reviewing the level of detail at which the IoS is published.
